I'm in no way trying to stifle research or innovation. I would like researchers to think - just a little - before they run out and investigate something that is fairly well understood. Nitroglycerin has been use for decades and it's effects are well know. I doesn't take a roomful of Ph.D.s to realize that increased blood flow could help rebuild tissue. It also doesn't take a lot of investigation to KNOW that side effects from nitroglycerin can be horrific.
